6 days ago Barcelona, Spain
Who we are:
Want to make an impact? Join our pack and come work (and play!) with us.

We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. Founded in 2011, the Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. We empower our community of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to run their own pet care businesses on Rover with the tools and security of a global company to back them.

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, we work closely with our teams in Barcelona, San Antonio, Spokane, and remote locations. We’ve got a reputation for being a great place to work, having been named among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Seattle Business Magazine and Washington’s Best Workplaces in the Puget Sound Business Journal. We're an agile, fast-growing company, and our leadership comes from some of the world's most respected tech companies.

At Rover, our furry coworkers are just as important as our human ones—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Along with making the joys of pet parenthood more accessible, we’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community of pet people—and that starts with our employees.

About the team
Rover’s International Business Team is responsible for driving revenue and profits growth across 16 countries: Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe which includes among many countries Spain, Germany, France and Italy.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented practitioner to join Rover’s International Business Team. This role is a critical link between identifying growth opportunities and driving their tangible execution across our 16 international markets.

The ideal candidate will
- Independently identify, size, and prioritize business growth opportunities and risks across multiple domains (including marketing, digital product, and engineering) within the international context.
- Act as a business owner who can translate high-level opportunities into actionable plans and tangible experiments, moving beyond pure strategy to driving the work.
- Possess strong influencing skills to align and motivate matrixed stakeholders across different seniority levels and functional teams (e.g., Product, Data Science, Finance) to achieve target outcomes.
- Be well-versed in product management and customer lifecycle principles, using this knowledge to define and improve key metrics (e.g., acquisition, retention, lifetime value).
Have a strong appetite for continuous learning and growth, both about our business and the best practices in product and experiment execution.

* This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Barcelona Office in the Poblenou neighborhood 2 days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own the opportunity-to-experiment lifecycle: Proactively identify, size, and validate key opportunities to improve pet sitter acquisition, gating, utilization, and satisfaction. Translate these opportunities into clear, executable roadmaps and experiment designs (e.g., A/B tests).
  • Drive cross-functional execution: Partner closely with teams across Product, Data Science, and Lifecycle to design, implement, and analyze experiments aimed at improving sitter and owner retention and experience for international countries.
  • Support revenue forecasting inputs (repeat bookings, average basket value, etc.) by analyzing input metrics and collaborating with the financial planning and analytics team.
  • Collaborate with the localization team to drive tangible product and marketing localization improvements based on market insights and clear business cases.
  • Lead investment alignment and goal-setting: Drive investment discussions with cross-functional partners and ensure teams are executing against quarterly goals and annual strategy, focused on measurable outcomes and learning.
  • Proactively communicate performance updates, experiment results, and key learnings to stakeholders, clearly articulating the business impact of your work.

Your Qualifications:

  • High fluency in English (C2) is a must. This is the official Rover language and it’s used every day with every internal stakeholder.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or similar degrees
  • Minimum of 8 years working experience in a role focused on driving measurable business outcomes through experiments and cross-functional execution (e.g., Growth Marketing, Product Management, or Business Operations with a strong execution mandate).
  • Highly analytical and independent: Proficient in using data to solve complex problems, not just for reporting, but for informing test hypotheses and quantifying impact.
  • Experience in creating and running rapid, iterative experiments to validate business hypotheses (e.g., understanding experiment design, interpreting statistical significance).
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence diverse teams across a matrixed organization and drive consensus toward critical decisions.
  • Clear and structured communication style, both verbal and written, particularly in writing concise business cases and experiment results.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a hands-on, learn-by-doing approach and comfort with ambiguity and continuous iteration.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with software-related product and analytics teams
  • Experience in online marketplaces
  • Experience in one or more of the following countries: Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy
