  • You will support analytics platforms based on Hadoop ecosystem, HP Vertica databases and Tableau solution.
  • Communicate with development teams and deliver ETL applications to pre-production and production environments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to analytics platforms. Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Continuously seek ways to optimize time spent on maintenance activities and automate routine tasks.
  • Working on design and improvement of analytics platform to meet business requirements.
  • Configure monitoring of infrastructure and applications using Zabbix system.

Experience and Skills:

  • Industry experience of 6 - 10 years is preferred
  • Linux/Unix administration, ability to navigate through a system, look at logs, etc.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP stack, NAT.
  • Strong scripting skills; preferred languages are Bash, Python.
  • Experience with Hadoop platform administration.
  • Any experience with database administration is a plus.
  • Fast learner with ability to self-teach and dig through documentation
  • Strong analytical skills
