Print Production/Implementation Designer


Ring (www.ring.com) is looking for a Print Production Designer to join our growing product team!

The Print Production Designer will support the Product and Creative teams in execution and production of various printed materials, from product packaging and instruction manuals to POP layouts. This role encompasses interfacing with the internal Design and Product teams, managing a production schedule, and obsessively improving creative output across a variety of printed mediums.

The ideal candidate will leverage their fluency in Ring products and empathy with our customer-base to develop printed materials that answer questions, address issues, and raise the bar of the Ring brand and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take conceptual direction, and produce finished press-ready layouts
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to completion
  • Manage a timeline of deliverables
  • Stay abreast of product development timelines to plan for printed needs, execute designs, and establish and meet deadlines
  • Interface with agencies and third party DTP teams to execute translated versions of all work produced
  • Interface with vendors to assess production deadlines and verify quality of finished products
  • Interface with packaging design team to establish requirements as well as contribute solutions and ideas to improve the unboxing experience of Ring products
  • Identify issues in production, and facilitate plans to resolve problems
  • Assess and select source materials and processes that balance cost and quality

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience and proven track record
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Create Suite
  • BFA or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with product manual, packaging and Retail POP production implementation
  • Experience with style-guide creation
  • Effective Photoshopping capabilities
  • Advanced Print Production
