The Superintendent is responsible for the efficient operation of assigned manufacturing department, meeting plant objectives and goals, through direction, coaching, administering policies, implementing company projects/programs, and setting objectives/expectations of subordinates.

This position will serve our EEMAX Division, located in Waterbury, CT

  • Leads, directs and oversees the activities of assigned department supervisors maintaining headcount within budget.
  • Maintains and improves department productivity, quality, and safety levels by assuring company procedures are followed and implementing changes.
  • Develops methods or processes to optimize department costs or improve measurable.
  • Communicates and coordinates with subordinates so as to maintain an efficient flow of information to all employees within departments.
  • Responsible for various improvement projects within the manufacturing group as assigned. Implement lean manufacturing techniques within the departments.
  • Maintenance Superintendents must meet all criteria of Sr. Maintenance Supervisor as well.



  • 4-6 years Production Experience.
  • 1-2 years Team Leadership Experience.
  • 2-4 years Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and implemented techniques in a manufacturing setting.
  • Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects a must.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, i.e., fabrication, assembly, paint, welding, etc.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills with the ability to make recommendations and/or solve problems

  • 2-4 years shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Highschool Diploma /GED


Bachelor's Degree in Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma.
