The Impact You’ll Have at Return Path

Are you an early-career Software Engineer or someone naturally curious, and very technical with an interest in learning software development? Do you have a passion for solving challenging problems in a simple way, working on a modern technology stack, and working closely with a cross-functional team of talented and passionate colleagues? If so, you might be a great fit as an Associate Software Engineer on the  Consumer Insights team at Return Path. As part of the team, you will be building and supporting the systems that power the next generation of applications to solve the most pressing challenges in the email industry to help people and businesses communicate more reliably, effectively, and securely.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Practical Software Development or Analysis experience
  • Experience with some or all of the following technologies:
  • Writing basic queries with SQL
  • Linux/Unix shell scripting
  • Strong natural technical aptitude
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new technologies
  • Basic knowledge of any modern programming language
  • An analytical and creative mind with a strong grasp of data.
  • A desire to understand and solve real customer problems.
  • Knowledge of email technology (SMTP, DKIM, MIME, etc.) a plus.
  • Comfortable stepping outside of your comfort zone by occasionally owning a project or wearing multiple hats.
  • Interest working in an agile environment.
