The position

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as Director of Implementation.

As an inspiring leader, you will own the planning, implementation and overseeing Remote's Global Payroll implementation operations.

You will be responsible for the implementation and management of Remote's global payroll solution for the end-to-end delivery of multi-country payroll projects. You will act as a point of escalation, supervising the team collaboration with clients, internal teams, and local partners to ensure the successful delivery of our global payroll solutions. This role requires in-depth experience & knowledge in the processing and management of multi-country payroll solutions.

You will be reporting to the VP of Payroll and Benefits.

  • Ideally 12+ years experience in a managing large global payroll implementation teams and ideally in a growing start-up environment.
  • Previous experience in a Hyper-growth, tech start up that you scaled large global payroll implementation solution, is more suitable for this role
  • Clear understanding and experience on how automation, integration, documentation and scaling can directly impact workload
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact. Familiarity on the change that occurs in a start-up in the first four years and comfortable with that
  • You are passionate about growth and make data-driven, well-researched and well-informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in building dashboards and reporting team activity.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and take own responsibility
  • Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work
  • Writes and speaks fluent English
  • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but is considered a plus
  • You are passionate about growth and make data-driven, well-informed decisions
Key Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for Remote Global Payroll solution:
  • Plan and implement the long-term payroll strategy along with the VP of Payroll and Benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to lead automation of processes and product evolutions.
  • Coordinate the actions of Global Payroll, Payroll Services and Payroll Operations teams.
  • Serves as a primary content expert and strategic advisor in policy matters involving payroll administration and payroll-tax matters.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR to create payroll reports and forecasts
  • Coordinate external tax audits related to payroll
  • Stay up-to-date with labor and tax legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations
  • Analyse and report on key drivers impacting top and bottom line performance and speed in the operations
  • Remain up to date with international laws/regulations regarding payroll, benefits, and compliance
  • Advise on and select external regional partners and serve as their key point of contact, ideally align to our very fast scaling needs and align our vendors to these needs
  • Own the budget and negotiations with external partners

We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labour practices and therefore pay a minimum annual salary of USD 40,000 per year, in all locations throughout the world. Actual compensation may vary based upon geographical location, experience, and/or skill level. However, it will never be below our minimum global compensation mentioned.
