Product Analyst - Concept to Consumer

The Product Analyst works on the Range Architecture team and is a highly data focused individual who will be responsible for the seasonal data pulls from various Reebok systems (MicroStrategy, PLM, Complexity Reports) and associated excel database creation. These databases provide the backbone for building our range architecture for the brand across all categories, considering all relevant inputs and factors. This role will also support the rollout of Range Architecture guidance to assigned BUs.

The architecture plan should enable both the realization of brand driving initiatives and the delivery of net sales and margin objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Pull seasonal data from Finance complexity report, PLM, and MicroStrategy. Aggregate data into Access and maintain full data set in Excel.
  • Maintain excel data for all BUs with regards to data correctness, product updates, and coding errors.
  • Creation and maintenance of excel databases for 3 key metrics of analysis (profitability/efficiency, key accounts, market overlap)
  • Assist team in shaping the ranging strategies and ensure implementation by working with the BU’s and Concepts to Consumer (CtC) teams
  • Collaborate with BU teams to understand category strategies and initiatives
  • Responsible for range architecture guidance rollout to assigned BUs, includes an analysis of the data, creation of presentations, and meetings with BU teams
  • Assist with W.E. pricing project and range channel segmentation project with CtC BU teams
  • Work with CtC Merchandising to better understand and improve GFR productivity
  • Implement range planning for all distribution channels, ensuring brand strategies and Seasonal KPI’s are fully incorporated
  • Implement range planning strategy for Director to Consumer (DtC) exclusives, Close To Market (CTM), Special Make Ups (SMUs) and local creation
  • Assist in the implementation of necessary analytics tools and systems
  • Deliver seasonal range plans according to process timelines including, but not limited to:
  • Range Overlap
  • Space parameters
  • Category priorities
  • Recommended Retail Price (RRP) bands Product lifecycles and rotation
  • Horizontal concepts
  • Balance of brand building and net sales driving products
  • Product types
  • Gender splits
  • Work, liaise and coordinate with peers and CtC teams
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Extremely proficient in Excel, experience includes aggregation of large data sets and database creation – experience with Macros a plus
  • Advanced skills in Powerpoint, Microsoft Office, experience with Access a plus
  • Knowledge in JavaSCript, Python, and/or HTML a plus
  • Degree in engineering, computer sciences, economics, or business
  • Academic or professional experience in data analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Structured, organized and process oriented
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure
  • Proven track record of success
  • Fluent in English

Qualifications:

  • University degree in engineering, computer sciences, economics, or business
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience creating databases and aggregating large amounts of data
  • 1+ years relevant experience
