Senior Data Scientist - Customer Products

As a Senior Data Scientist for the Analytics Engineering Team, you'll take on challenging problems and productize our massive store of market and user data to turn it into a competitive weapon. Your job is to design, prototype, and ship customer facing products for millions of users, 100+ million of properties and thousands of agents. You'll be responsible for developing machine learning algorithms that power features like the Redfin Estimate, Hot Homes, Price Whisperer, Personalization, Home Recommendation, Agent To-Dos and Marketing Automation. You will be the domain owner for key features end-to-end and partner with teams across the company, to help build the analytics engine that drives the Redfin user experience and enables data-driven decision-making.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, engineering, social science, or related field (graduate degree or a PhD a plus)

  • Advanced knowledge in Machine Learning algorithms and familiarity with some ML libraries/ packages (scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, TensorFlow, NLTK, etc.)

  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience

  • Ability and a proven track record of dealing with ambiguity, communicating well with partner teams, and a strong empathy for the customer experience

  • Passion to build products that users will love

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a drive to ship quickly, and familiarity with agile software development practices

  • Proficiency with SQL and Python

  • Strong quantitative skills
