Redfin is at the forefront of the emerging E2E tech sector, combining technology and customer service to reinvent the end to end experience for buying and selling a home in the consumer’s favor.

As the Washington State Designated Broker and Oregon Principal Broker, you are responsible for maintaining an excellent customer service organization, resulting in employees that feel supported 100%. This role will support agents and their managers in all aspects of the real estate transaction, while having the backing of a world class organization. You are responsible for each state’s individual Broker requirements, as well as overseeing contract compliance, training on contractual changes, maintaining relationships with local MLS organizations, and auditing. You are a leader in the market, coordinating with managers to establish best practices surrounding license requirements and contracts to build outstanding systems. At Redfin, we're doing something that has never been done before. We hire people willing to take risks, who are passionate about learning, and ready to go the extra mile to make things happen.

What You’ll Do:

Offer Real Estate Guidance and Market Expertise: Your real estate team will depend on you for leadership; you should be prepared to answer tough questions. You will be expected to fulfill all Designated Broker responsibilities (WA) and Principal Broker responsibilities (OR) as defined by individual State Department of Licensing guidelines. You’ll need to maintain up to date knowledge and application of licensing guidelines.
Work with Training and Development to Create Local Contract Training for Agents: Redfin continues to grow and add new talent to our Agent population. This role makes sure they are trained appropriately on contracts, as well as local rules and regulations, to deliver consistently great customer service.
Build Local Relationships and Knowledge: You will travel to multiple offices and maintain face to face personal relationships with our agents to ensure any changes to local contracts are fully understood.
Agent Contract/Transaction Concerns: You take problems over the finish line; have a skill for drafting clauses and de-escalating issues. You’ll provide exemplary Broker guidance, and you’ll efficiently remove roadblocks so that agents can get back to doing what they do best.
Maintain Relationships with Local MLS Boards: You’re the face of Redfin; you’ll advocate when necessary and be a voice for our growing field organization.
File Auditing to Adhere to State Requirements: You love reviewing contracts and giving constructive guidance. You’ll work side by side with local managers to make sure our staff is the best prepared, all the time.
Collaborate with Other Departments: You will ensure that any changes to Redfin.com or internal policy changes are compliant with state and local requirements.
Change Agent: You will apply your licensing knowledge to Redfin’s systems and processes and will recommend and implement change as appropriate. You will use your influencing skills to make change happen.
Leadership: You partner effectively with other leaders across markets to ensure agent performance levels meet Redfin and licensing standards (or to ensure exemplary agent performance).

Who You Are:

Leader: You're resourceful, decisive and hold yourself and others accountable. You've worked within large teams before and know how to integrate and motivate a team.
Experienced: You're currently a licensed managing broker (WA) and/or principal broker (OR) with at least 50 deals under your belt, and 10 in the last 24 months. You've been a managing broker or principal broker with experience managing multiple, actively licensed agents.
Educated: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; you can communicate clearly and write well. Must be actively licensed in at least one state with credentials to procure licensing in adjacent state. You will be required to maintain an active license in both WA and OR.
Analyst: You've got a nose for contracts and use your skills to manage a problem. You love technology and can bend it to your will to get the job done.
Fire in the Belly: You're excited to change the industry for the better and you come to work every day ready to go.

What You Earn:

You earn a salary plus bonus. We pay for health insurance for you and your family, computer equipment, cell-phone plan, mileage, continuing education, licensing fees and MLS dues.
