Senior Legal Operations Associate

Reddit is seeking a senior legal operations associate to join our team and support the platform.  As one of the founding members of the legal operations team, you will help set business processes and work with different teams across the company to enable the business to grow and scale.  If you are excited about building both a product and a legal operations team, then this is the place for you.


  • Process incoming requests for user information from both governmental and non-governmental entities about Reddit’s users, reports of intellectual property infringements, and privacy-related removal requests, with limited oversight
  • Liaise with cross-functional partners in Legal, Product, and Engineering as necessary to drive process workflow and technological improvements, and to scale operations
  • Review requests relating to very sensitive issues and identify trends to create internal policy and workflows
  • Please be aware that this role will occasionally require you to process emergency requests received outside of normal working hours

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 - 4 + years experience in processing user data requests and/or intellectual property requests
  • Familiarity with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986, General Data Protection Regulation, and other relevant Privacy laws in the US and abroad

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with operations in support
  • Experience with customer support software, spreadsheet software, SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for technology, law, and business
  • Eagerness to learn new things, comfortable handling chaos, and thrives in a team environment
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and a sense of humor
  • Prior startup experience preferred
