As a Backend Engineer on Reddit’s Media Delivery Team, you’ll use your knowledge of debugging, profiling, and writing efficient code and distributed systems to help Reddit become an efficient content-serving machine.  This is a critical role for enabling Reddit's future growth plans.


  • 4+ years of experience developing either internet-scale software, video-specific technology, or both.
  • Strong preference is given for deep experience with any of:
    • Video player implementation
    • Video analytics
    • CDNs and global distribution
    • Streaming video
    • Codec engineering
    • C++
    • Python
    • Machine learning
    • Computer vision
