Electronic Technician

Performs duties associated with monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of instrument and electrical systems on complex manufacturing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Performs a variety of instrument calibrations (pressure, temperature, flow, speed) using various calibration tools

  • Troubleshoot and repair in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of instrumentation from pneumatic and analog to the latest in smart generation technology

  • Specialized knowledge in troubleshooting and monitoring PLC's, HMI's, DSC (Delta-V), and plant historian (PI)

  • Makes decisions on equipment diagnosis and repairs to prevent potential product issues (micro/foreign contamination)

  • Performs assigned preventative maintenance and calibrations in assigned areas

  • Utilize and CCMS and calibration documentation systems including all necessary work permits

  • Complete all necessary transactions, reports, and documentation

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment

  • Be able to use independent judgement and work well as part of a team

  • Establishes strong working relationships with key customers, colleagues, and leadership

  • Demonstrates accountability with a focus on customer service

  • Journeyman electrical licenses required with 5+ years of working with electrical/electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge in packaging, liquid and powder processing a plus.

  • An understanding of maintenance best practices, safety, quality, cost, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and people skills are necessary in this position.
