Area Quality Lead

. Job Purpose:

  • To support compliance with Reckitt Benckiser Quality system, Good Manufacturing Practice, and regulatory license requirements for the manufacturing group

  • To assist with practical operational changes and improvements in manufacturing areas, including goods-in, dispensary, granulation, blending, compression, effervescent, coating, packing, and RFS.

  • Provides training and competency assessment on GMP aspects of operational staff training

A fantastic opportunity is available for an Area Quality Leader to join our Q uality team.


  • Acts as a quality leader and as a partner to the operations team

  • Supports and/or leads deviation investigations, reporting and review

  • Corrective and preventative action facilitator, including audit actions

  • Change control review and assessment of risk for changes within the area

  • Review of major and significant customer complaints including initial investigation, reporting, and coordination of resulting actions

  • Weekly and monthly KPI reporting

  • Completes risk assessments for existing processes and new projects, as appropriate

  • Acts as quality representative on all new projects for the area

  • Able to lead change, solve problems, make decisions and demonstrate agility in a compliant/controlled manner.

  • Competency assessment of specific GMP knowledge, overview on operational competency.

  • Local control and approval of validation protocols

Main challenges:

  • Leading the resolution of quality issues to the point of recording and recommending actions to area Production teams

  • Ensuring quality requirements and product requirements are considered, without detriment to either

  • Authority to make key operational quality decisions within the area and makes recommendations to site quality management based on these

  • Ensures long term preventative actions are captured in deviations and that actions identified to support teams are completed on time and in full

  • Reviews on-line issues regarding quality to the point of quarantining material pending review and recommending stock write off if required
Is this You

Degree or equivalent usually in chemistry, biology or microbiology

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Knowledge and experience of Dietary Supplement GMPs and regulatory standards. Knowledge of OTC GMPs and regulatory standards a plus.

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
