Corporate Tax Manager

Overview

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the Company’s income / franchise tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for income taxes. You will also be a part of identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements across data collection, documentation, data submission, and information reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong initiative to identify opportunities for improvement as well as design and implement those improvements. The candidate should have excellent organizational skills, data management skills, and proficiency in Excel. The candidate should have strong attention to detail to appropriately identify incorrect or missing information.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate the preparation of the Company’s U.S. federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns including international tax issues and quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Review and coordinate the tax return data gathering from the Company’s accountants for the U.S. and its foreign subsidiaries
  • Perform research to support tax compliance
  • Review analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls are maintained
  • Coordinate and manage income/franchise taxing authority audits
  • Advise management on issues related to income tax state nexus and permanent establishment
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Supervise, review and assist with preparation of the consolidated income tax provision and related financial statement disclosures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, tax or finance
  • Five ( 5 ) years of corporate income tax experience , including in-depth knowledge of income tax compliance and research systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership and management skills 
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient analytical and interpretive skills
  • Detail oriented, with ability to provide clear and concise summations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently and in a team environment

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA or Master’s degree in accounting, tax or finance
  • International tax experience
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred)
