Corporate Accounts Manager

Overview

The Corporate Accounts Manager is responsible for all aspects of Sales and Marketing for assigned accounts within the territory.  Actively solicits the participation and involvement of Rain Bird Corp. sales personnel to drive profitable sales growth. Position can be based in Southern California, Arizona, or Texas

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales into the new home construction and commercial development markets
  • Develop, establish, and grow relationships with all targeted and assigned builder accounts by cold calling, scheduling appointments and meeting with potential and existing builders, their purchasing agents, design centers, and land development teams to secure long term business relationships
  • Ability to foster relationships with national, regional, and local decision makers to drive sales for the organization.
  • Track and understand each builder accounts business and our appropriate value proposition
  • Establish builder profiles, key contacts, and prioritize activities to grow, defend or recapture their business
  • Capture and communicate competitive products, their activity and penetration within each account
  • Collaborate with local sales teams, regional and national peers to assure highest level of coordination, segment penetration and customer satisfaction
  • Execute and communicate marketing initiatives. (i.e., pricing. promotions, product changes)
  • Implement strategies to support new product introductions & product extensions to other areas of the home
  • Assist in the development of the annual sales and marketing plan for the segment within assigned territory
  • Account reporting and review monthly with National Sales Manager, Specification
  • Document activity and account progress
  • Participate and represent company in relative professional organizations such as the local HBA
  • Strong negotiating skills

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Shall live within an approved nearby location or be prepared to relocate to the territory within 3 months of hire. Desired market is Southern California, Arizona, or Texas
  • 5+ years’ work experience in sales within the construction industry or manufacturers for / suppliers to the construction industry
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial building practices, negotiating national agreements & corporate rebate programs
  • Prior National or Corporate Accounts Manager calling on National Home Builders divisional purchasing is a necessity
  • Self-motivated, team player, results oriented, and excellent communication skills required
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Great attention to detail, organizational and strong analytical skill
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Travel availability up to 50%

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred background in Landscape Architecture, Irrigation Consulting or Landscape Contracting
  • Established contacts with national builders within the assigned territory (Western USA)
  • Marketing and product development experience
  • MBA degree
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish (written and/or verbal)

Salary range for candidates based in California: $150,000 – $225,000
Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
