Senior Data Scientist- Predictive

As a Senior Data Scientist on the Predictive team, you will work on the Radius core machine learning engine that is responsible for modeling business behavior for a wide and diverse set of customers and goal definitions. Our Predictive engine is built to handle a diverse set of modeling problems in terms of training data size, data characteristics and complex labeling definitions which make our work both challenging and rewarding. We are a team of pragmatic engineers and data scientists that take pride in building simple and reliable components while delivering complex products.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and become intimately familiar with our data sources with the goal of improving the feature extraction and modeling processes
  • Lead and further develop our feature engineering processes in order to improve the performance of the models
  • Help develop our visualization and model performance monitoring toolset
  • Gain a deep understanding of marketing use cases across multiple verticals to enhance the capabilities of Radius' predictive models
  • Advise the team on best statistical practices
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience building well-performing models and extracting insights from sizable data sets Curious and passionate about understanding the hidden and complex trends in data
  • Curious and passionate about understanding the hidden and complex trends in data
  • Deep understanding of the feature engineering design and processing techniques
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as R and Python
  • Experienced coding in at least one of the following object-oriented languages: Java, C++, Python, Scala, etc.
  • Advanced degree in Machine learning, Statistics or related field
  • Excellent communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop
  • Experience coding in Scala and/or Python
  • Comfortable working in Linux environment
