What You'll Do/Need

We are looking for a transformational leader who is focused on technology and quality to deliver business results. As the VP of Central Platforms, you’ll roll up your sleeves and work with your teams to develop APIs and services to drive processing across our products, with a focus on building the right things the right way. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the software development space with a deep knowledge of agile methodologies and modern development practices, and will maintain knowledge of current technology trends and practices to ensure Quicken Loans remains technically aggressive in developing solutions.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Enable high-performing teams by growing and developing team leaders and members
  • Translate priorities and projects to solutions and products
  • Focus on solutions that use technology to simplify processes
  • Focus on agility in people, processes and technology
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology trends to ensure Quicken Loans remains technically aggressive in developing solutions
  • Participate in the creation and evolution of a technology road map defining current and future technical architectures
  • Lead strategic technological planning to achieve company goals
  • Work closely with business partners to understand and develop game-changing technology

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or significant relevant experience
  • 10 years of technology experience with at least 5 years in a software development leadership role
  • Experience leading teams and strategies focused on Service Oriented Architecture and microservices
  • Solid communication, client service, time management and leadership skills
  • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
  • An experimental, innovative and continuous improvement mindset
  • A passion and drive for enabling others
  • Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group
  • Experience leading projects and teams while delivering business solutions
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading large-scale initiatives across multiple applications
  • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
