Job Summary
The Technology Team Leader leads a variety of subject matter experts, including Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Database Administrators, etc. They lead a specific team to support and maintain existing applications and the development of new technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining team members; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
  • Maintain the team by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training team members; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintain effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with teams of focus
  • Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required or significant relevant experience
  • 5 years of technology experience
  • Solid communication, client service, time management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
  • Operations experience in a production environment
  • Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate the team
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts and methodologies
  • Understanding of general business, health care and health coverage issues
  • Ability to work with a purpose, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Detail-oriented team player who can multitask and handle workloads with deadlines
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proven ability to think (and work) outside the box
