What You'll Do/Need
Quicken Loans, Inc. has 2 openings for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE814VG).
Work Location: 1050 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226.
Develop, improve, and maintain software applications. Collaborate with other engineers, developers, architects, quality assurance team members, system engineers, and product managers to solve technical issues related to Quicken Loans’ internal software. Understand requirements and participate in design and code reviews. Implement designs and provide administration tools and documentation for specific projects; Assist with delivery estimates and provide feedback about development processes. Measure and verify that code has acceptable performance and scalability. Participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, including software design and testing. Translate business requirements and specifications into software applications. Build applications in support of regulatory compliance initiatives. Follow and enhance existing development processes. Use SQL Server to build backend databases. Create desktop applications using Windows Forms. Work with Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage source control. Use ADO.Net to build out data layers and perform CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) operations. Conduct programming in C, C#, HTML, and .NET. Perform unit testing. Apply Agile development methodologies in a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Programmer Analyst or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with the following tools / technologies / skills: all phases of the software development life-cycle including design & testing; translating business requirements & specifications into software applications; building applications in support of regulatory compliance initiatives; SQL Server as backend database; creating desktop applications using Windows Forms; Team Foundation Server; ADO.Net to build data layers; CRUD operations; programming in C, C#, HTML, and .NET; unit testing; and Agile. 40hrs/week, 8AM – 5PM.
