Product Owner

Product Owners are responsible for aligning to product visions and prioritizing what we deliver within a Lean/Agile development team environment. We're looking for talented and passionate team members who'll inspire innovation and help teams develop solutions that focus on delivering value. This team member works directly with the Appraisal Train.


  • Drive the vision and definition of the product
  • Know why we're building the product, its audience and what problem it will solve
  • Represent the voice of the client
  • Ensure the Development team works on the right things from the stakeholder's perspective
  • Understand the business, technology and process context in which a product delivers value
  • Write new user stories, ensuring that acceptance criteria are met when code is complete
  • Drive release planning and forecasting
  • Regularly keep in touch with every product stakeholder
  • Share insights throughout the company regarding the product
  • Engage with our User Experience team to define requirements for how a prospective user interacts with the product

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, computer science, information management systems or a closely related field
  • 2 years of experience in product management as either a Product Owner or Product Manager or in a product-related role within a development team

  • Experience working in a Lean/Agile environment with a focus on Scrum, XP and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to articulate the big picture
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) training
  • Ability to deliver solutions in iterations
