What You'll Do/Need

Position Summary

The Engineering team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP); fire life safety (FLS); and integration. Housed within their layered team is our Building Controls team, which offers additional in-house installation, programming and management services as well as our Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Director, who oversees all Bedrock corporate HSE programs and initiatives. The Engineering team also works on due diligence of newly acquired buildings, ensuring that we stick to outlined budgets, and drives green and sustainability initiatives by using the best technologies available and continuously working to lessen our carbon footprint.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all Engineering database-driven programs, including:
    • Work order/preventive maintenance management program (Yardi)
    • Accounting programs and the purchase order management system (Yardi)
    • Safety training programs (RedVector)
    • Energy-efficiency program for commercial buildings to include utility rebates
    • Maintaining and editing all engineering policies and procedures
    • Maintaining and editing all HSE policies and procedures
    • Maintaining and editing all Building Controls team policies and procedures
    • Maintaining and editing all sustainability policies and procedures
  • Coordinate communications related to major building testing and shutdowns
  • Assist Engineering leaders with technical communications and rollouts
  • Assist Engineering leadership with the creation of new policies, procedures and work tasks
  • Research new potential areas of opportunity within their areas of responsibility
  • Complete any required trainings in order to better support the Engineering team

 

Position Requirements

  • Five years of technical administrative/coordination experience
  • Proven experience in procedural writing
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written and verbal form
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Extensive database-driven program skills
  • Prior experience with Yardi and RedVector preferred
