StockX is the world’s first online consumer “stock market of things” for high-demand, limited edition products. Participants buy and sell authenticated products in a live marketplace where they anonymously trade with stock market-like visibility. The StockX exchange offers buyers and sellers historical price and volume metrics, real-time bids and offers (asks), time-stamped trades, individualized portfolio tracking and metrics, as well as in-depth market analysis and news. StockX launched its inaugural marketplace in the secondary sneaker space with plans to expand to additional consumer product segments that have a natural need for a live secondary market.

What You'll Do/Need


  • Develop and execute integrated public relations plans to build awareness for and further position StockX as a market-leading e-commerce brand
  • Act as single point of contact for StockX business units, identifying issues and opportunities, developing internal and external communications and plans as needed, and providing strategic counsel
  • Supervise execution of PR programs from initiation through completion in both the B2B and B2C context 
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to PR agency partners and review all PR materials to ensure communication is accurate, relevant and consistent with StockX messaging and positions
  • Collaborate with and leverage internal PR and marketing colleagues to ensure coordination and communication of messages/news to internal and external audiences
  • Contribute content for StockX blog
  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of external communications programs
  • Collaborate with other agency partners, such as advertising, promotions and social media, to develop integrated programs that achieve business objectives
  • Build relationships with key media contacts and identify opportunities to proactively pitch stories to media as appropriate
  • Manage day-to-day media relations for all business units; develop written media materials, Q&A and position statements as needed
  • Lead and develop the following:
    • The StockX charity marketing program
    • The StockX educational marketing program 
    • A program to communicate with and leverage StockX investors 
    • A program of public speaking engagements for the executive-level team 
    • A program to build relations with and leverage celebrities to generate marketing initiatives and publicity 
  • Coordinate the building of high-profile web links to the StockX website for SEO purposes
  • Build the StockX profile within the Family of Companies and communicate activity and successes with the aim of attracting increased corporate support and new opportunities to aid StockX growth 


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight years of PR, media relations, content creation and/or writing experience
  • Experience developing PR strategy for fast-growing brands, zeroing in on messaging and
  • developing creative angles through which to tell stories
  • Strong track record of successful media placement; demonstration of expertise in targeted media strategies
  • A track record of selecting and managing relevant vendors and partners
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and have a knack for simplifying things into practical processes
  • Strong teamwork and project management skills
  • Strong organizational skill and ability to delegate successfully
  • Excellent network of relationships with journalists and agencies
  • Extraordinary judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Extraordinary writing and editing skills
  • Ability to challenge and influence C-level team members
  • A high energy, a strong work ethic and an unquestioned reputation for integrity
  • Ability to work in a strong entrepreneurial/start-up mentality while balancing consistency and processes with adaptability and flexibility, all while keeping the needs of the business and customers in mind
