Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of retail automotive sales management experience with a dealership
  • In-depth knowledge of dealership F&I products
  • Proven sales success
  • Automotive training experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Expressed interest in and enthusiasm for adult learning and training and development
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with team members tactfully and effectively
  • Results-oriented individual that thrives on the success of others
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of sales and service in a high-volume environment

Job Summary
The Training Consultant ensures new and current automotive sales executives have the product, process and sales skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in their sales career while providing an amazing client experience. We provide a fun, ever-changing, creative, solution-oriented sales and training environment. The Rock Connections Automotive Sales team sells pre-owned vehicles directly to consumers from our contact center locations in Detroit and Arizona. This is the future of auto purchasing!

  • Identify training needs through analysis, assessments, business metrics and quality metrics
  • Prepare new sales representatives by conducting orientation sessions about the sales process, developing individual coaching plans, and providing resources and assistance
  • Develop and execute relevant and impactful training events for newly hired and tenured automotive sales consultants
  • Build strong relationships and communicate clearly with business partners to provide insight on training needs, scheduling, trends and expectations
  • Handle training and event coordination and logistics
  • Facilitate and review any additional practice sessions outside of the training schedule for those in need of further learning
  • Provide honest and thorough weekly feedback on all training workshops and skill development to leaders and colleagues
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and contribute to revenue-generating tactics to impact the business through growth and development
  • Maintain a presence on the production floor to shadow, coach and assess
  • Improve training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques, making support readily available and integrating support with routine job functions
