Automotive Business Manager

The Automotive Business Manager works with the Training team to help build a finance and insurance curriculum focused on teaching our Automotive Sales Consultants (ASCs) how to gain a client's trust to pull credit, submit to multiple lenders, structure a finance deal (rate, term, payment) and sell insurance products, including vehicle service protection, GAP protection, and wheel and tire protection. Additional responsibilities include live call coaching, second voicing deals and providing ongoing coaching programs to further develop our ASCs' finance and insurance closing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review deals structured by Account Executives to make sure partner financing and add-on products were offered (vehicle service protection, guaranteed asset protection)
  • Maintain direct relationships with partner lenders (rework deals, rate buydowns, rate adjustments)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of partner lenders and lending matrix options
  • Assist Account Executives with properly structuring a car deal (payoff quote on trade-in; fully structured deal, including purchase price, taxes, title and fees; add-on products; rate/term/payment options that meet clients' needs)
  • Review all rate/term/payment options
  • Handle second voice financing and add-on production options
  • Switch vehicles (common with subprime deals)
  • Help close difficult deals
  • Fully structure ALL subprime deals
  • Provide Account Executives and leaders with ongoing coaching, training and feedback regarding deal structure
  • Maintain full knowledge of all credit reporting, finance and desking technology platforms (RouteOne, 700Credit, CDK, RouteOne, DealerTrack)
  • Maintain full knowledge of available add-on menu products (vehicle service protection, guaranteed asset protection, tire and wheel protection, prepaid maintenance plans and credit insurance)
  • Work with the Training team to develop a finance and insurance training curriculum
  • Work with production leaders to build coaching plans for ongoing sales development

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent preferred but not required
  • 5 years of automotive retail sales experience
  • 3 years of automotive retail finance and insurance sales experience
  • Working knowledge of RouteOne/DealerTrack
  • Experience working directly with lenders to structure automotive finance deals
