The runtime execution of advertising campaigns is a key capability that manages how we spend budget, impressions, etc. in a real time bidding environment. We want to build the foundation of loosely coupled, highly cohesive service-oriented pacing service architecture that’s going to propel us into the next level as we grow rapidly. At Quantcast, full-stack engineers work in all aspects of agile application development, from DB schema design through backend business logic to advanced Javascript on the frontend. This means getting up close and personal with cutting edge technologies like Kafka, Cassandra, AngularJS, React, jQuery, and building next generation scalable, high performance fault-tolerant end to end systems.   • Use the latest HTML, CSS, and Javascript techniques to produce highly-performant, informative, and beautiful user experiences for clients
  • Design, develop and operate scalable backend systems to deliver advertising at scale
  • Improve existing ad targeting products and introduce new products to delight our customers
  • Play an active role in recruiting world class software engineering talent


  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience; or M.S. with 3+ years of industry experience
  • Fluency in Java, C++ or similar object oriented programming languages, along with Python, PHP, or Ruby
  • Understanding of client-side performance and Javascript
  • Experience in Distributed Computing/MapReduce, key value stores like MongoDB, Redis
  • Experience with consumer facing high traffic web applications a major plus
  • Familiarity and comfort with agile development methodology
  • AWS experience preferred
