Engineering Director, Ad Central

The Ad Central team builds and operates our campaign management platform, through which our customers set up and manage campaigns.  This is the pipe Quantcast’s revenue flows through, so no service is more critical to our success.  It’s also the main lever for our growth, as opening it to external partners allows them to leverage our leading modeling and targeting capabilities to accelerate their own businesses and build deeper relationships with us.

As Director of Ad Central, you’ll lead scaling the transformation of the service from a set of internal tools to an externally-facing product our customers can use directly, through intuitive applications and clean APIs.  Your customers will be the advertisers and agencies we work with, our internal operations teams, and other engineering teams whose services rely on yours.

You’ll oversee a team of currently 20 engineers and managers, and grow it from there as quickly as you can.  You’ll set the strategic vision for your product, deliver against your roadmap, operate your service in production, and stay close to your customers to ensure they’re happy.

Your background:

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including leading through layers of management.
  • Ability to lead initiatives and be a catalyst for change throughout the organization.
  • Ability to balance high-quality development with pragmatism and rapid delivery of products.
  • A track record of envisioning and delivering large, transformative systems.
  • A broad technical background including user-friendly applications and robust, scalable APIs and backends.
  • Experience building systems that manage large-scale business processes and complex data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising.
