QSC is currently seeking a Manager, Business Analytics to join our team. The Manager will be involved in evolving and leveraging data to affect business outcomes, contributing to high-impact, strategic engagements across the organization (e.g., go-to-market models and strategy, customer experience), and build market research capabilities for the organization. In this newly created role, you will be gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations to a wide set of stakeholders. This is a highly visible professional growth role that will keep you challenged and learning while utilizing the full range of your skills.

Responsibilities

Data management and presentation

Work with a wide variety of internal and external data sources to collect, clean/organize, interpret/present data to deliver insights for the business

  • Analyze multifaceted business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers
  • Compile key pieces of information related to performance against business objectives, proactively analyze sales data and reports to identify areas of concern and improvement
  • Build relationships and partnerships with peers and other key stakeholders
  • Conduct analysis using advanced practices and tools associated with data gathering and analysis
  • Work with IT and business teams to identify, map, and organize key data sources to provide business intelligence capabilities for the business
  • Visualize and communicate business analyses and insights, develop compelling presentations with recommendations
  • Prioritize work based on evaluating competing demands, timelines, and priorities; and understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders

Strategic programs support

Contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic projects and transformation initiative(s) to support long-range business objectives
  • Perform research plans, business analyses, and discover insights from data to validate hypotheses or challenge status quo collaborating with appropriate team members
  • Gather business requirements in support of projects, reporting and process improvements
  • Collaborate on projects with process owners, key team members, IT and external partners to build a cohesive infrastructure of systems
  • Support projects with process mapping, gap analysis, and process improvement initiatives

Market research and analysis

Become recognized as the central “hub” for analytics on market data and competitive trends/information
  • Identify and monitor competitors and market trends/changes that could affect business strategy and direction
  • Develop and maintain market sizing models for current markets and new market areas for the company
  • Conduct primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research with rigor and good business judgement
  • Identify third party market research available and manage subscriptions and library of market knowledge for the organization


Qualifications

Successful candidate typically have:
  • Master’s Degree or MBA in business, marketing, economics, data analytics or similar discipline from a top-tier school or Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years of experience with a top tier consulting firm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, SQL, Oracle; salesforce.com knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytics with exceptional qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
  • Strong sense of ownership, and ability/desire to work independently
  • Engaging personality who can build trusting relationships
  • Excellent business acumen, problem solving, negotiating skills, and analytical thinking
  • Team player, personable, empathetic, and diplomatic; Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • IT or AV industry or practice area expertise in customer experience, global growth, SaaS business models, product development is a plus
