National Real Estate Design Senior Manager

Our Corporate Real Estate team is responsible for arranging the procurement of properties used for operating purposes while maintaining cost exposure to PwC.. You'll help with real estate financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, site selection, and delivery of space.

A Senior Manager in NRE Workplace Design is responsible to oversee the design component of the firm's RE projects including responsibility for design development that supports the Firm's workplace strategies, direct management of external design vendors and suppliers, and overall accountability for design of capital improvement projects for new and/or existing PwC space.

Minimum Degree Required :
High School Diploma

Minimum Years of Experience :
6 year(s) in workplace strategy, and/or interior architecture, planning or interior design.

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree Preferred :
Bachelor Degree

Additional Educational Preferences :

Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) in Interior Architecture or Interior Design preferred.

Certification(s) Preferred :

LEED, AIA, NCIDQ, IIDA Preferred but not required

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrating intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas involving national real estate operations for a professional services firm and working effectively across a matrix organization including:
  • Possessing experience in workplace design and implementation;
  • Working alongside a team comprised of internal partners and outsourced vendors;
  • Working in a team environment both virtually and in-person and multi-time zones;
  • Identifying areas for value engineering;
  • Possessing a background in architecture, interior design or workplace strategy;
  • Demonstrating problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Juggling multiple projects and initiatives;
  • Bringing consensus between multiple parties;
  • Possessing executive level communication and presentation skills;
  • Recommending and implementing change;
  • Engaging, collaborating with, influence, business leaders, national leaders and senior stakeholders on new design concepts, navigating and working effectively to integrate new designs concepts into the firm;
  • Influencing others through leadership and interactions across functions and in our markets;
  • Driving an enhanced people experience and maintaining thorough relationships with our stakeholders;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key leaders and stakeholders;
  • Working independently and setting priorities with minimal supervision when working with multiple tasks and people while delivering a quality work product, including ability to prioritize others' workflow;
  • Thriving in a dynamic environment and is driven toward achieving results, continuous learning and self-assessment;
  • Establishing National Real Estate design project deliverables to meet architectural and engineering standards and specifications, national vendor contracts, branding strategy, implementation of technology furniture, lighting, and flooring solutions, and also LEED Certification Solutions;
  • Supporting the Directors in NRE in areas of procurement, vendor management, design oversight of new and existing PwC offices, project delivery process improvement, new ways of working and other special initiatives;
  • Managing architects, designers and engineering-related vendors and suppliers to be in compliance with their Master Services Agreements and support of ongoing RE projects (i.e. Project Specific Work Authorizations, Change Orders and Invoices);
  • Developing vendor performance standards, contracts and quality of service metrics and tracking vendor performance, including negotiating out-of-scope work matters and partnering with Procurement, Finance, and OGC to keeping MSAs up-to-date;
  • Participating in Capital Improvement Projects (i.e. review of Test Fits, Schematic Design, Design Imaging Sessions, Construction Documents, Construction Administration, Value Engineering, vendor and contractor pricing, punch lists, Day One/Two Items and project close out);
  • Networking with industry professionals to learn and consistently adopt or create current practices and appropriately share knowledge of workplace design and theory; and,
  • Demonstrating AutoCAD and Revit experience.
