Sr. Copywriter, in-house Advertising Agency


  • Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of Calvin Klein’s branding, advertising and marketing initiatives
  • Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts
  • Take part in creative concepting and collaborate with the designers to develop creative concepts for brand initiatives
  • Work closely with creative team to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style
  • Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives
  • Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Work from creative briefs and under the direction of senior creative working to translate concepts into effective copy concepts or text
  • Demonstrate the studio’s high quality standards across all deliverables


Responsible for creating brand appropriate “tone of voice” and standards to support messaging to the consumer in all marketing mediums.


Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines. Creative and detail oriented is necessary in completing all projects. Must be flexible and solution oriented with a positive attitude toward teamwork. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt quickly to quick changes, requests and deadlines.


The Agency has an open floor layout that encourages team members to engage and inspire one another. Occasional late hours and weekend work could be required depending on seasonal concepts and specific project needs.



  • 5+ years in an advertising or in-house marketing agency
  • A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • An exceptional copywriting portfolio website
  • Proven creative ability
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands


  • BA in English, journalism, communications or a related field


  • Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences
  • Experience with strategic concepting, campaign development and creative execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands
