Sr. Analyst Consumer Insights & Analytics - The Underwear Group

The Sr Analyst Consumer Insights and Analytics is responsible for working with the business to identify and design online and in-store tests, analyze internal data, and study market trends to drive initiatives and strategies across TUG's brands and functional areas.


Market & Consumer Trends

  • Leverage internal and external data to identify growth opportunities for TUG
  • Develop expertise in consumer data sources (NPD, TrendAlytics, TrendWatching, WGSN, etc.)
  • Conduct ad-hoc research to inform commercial potential of specific consumer, market, and product trends

Online and In-Store Testing
  • Develop and test hypotheses to answer business questions
  • Design in-store tests to gauge demand for new products ideas
  • Analyze test results and translate into actionable insights for the business

Empowering the Organization
  • Implement analytical and visualization tools that empower functional teams to more effectively leverage data to drive decisions and strategies
  • Consult cross functional teams on best practices for leveraging consumer data and insights

Process Implementation
  • Work with our direct-to-consumer team to develop testing processes and procedures
  • Develop standardized reporting templates for core processes



  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics and consumer research for business. Ideally with experience at leading Strategy Consulting firm, or in the Consumer Goods / Apparel industry
  • Software familiarity
    • Business Intelligence tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
    • Basic familiarity with relational databases (SQL)
    • MS Excel and PowerPoint

Education: University degree, preferably in Economics, Marketing or related field


  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience using statistics, econometrics, machine learning, simulation or related field to drive business objectives
  • Ability to translate business needs into research agenda
  • Ability to translate statistical and analytical results into a clear, simple and actionable insights
  • Ability to synthesize across multiple insights from different sources and create a compelling story
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communications skills
