Senior Director- Master Data Management/Data Governance

The Senior Director, Master Data Management/Data Governance has the responsibility to launch and promote the advance thinking in the Global PVH organization on all aspects of data governance including data quality, master data management, common nomenclature enterprise wide, and information architecture. He/she will establish common processes to define, control and monitor data quality and integrity. He/she will be responsible to implement data quality and control to deliver consistent, reliable and usable business information across divisions as the company implements new systems and/or inherits new businesses through acquisitions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Assess PVH Corp.‘s current state around MDM/Data Governance; with the

ultimate goal of providing a proposal around the needs to build an

organization to implement and support the future of MDM, enterprise wide

data, governance and architecture.

  • Provide gap analysis and stakeholder analysis to show current to future state roadmap.
  • Build a team/organization comprising of subject matter experts (SME’s) that understand all facets (data attributing, hierarchies, consumer facing language including e-comm).
  • Define, develop and implement the vision, strategy and methods by which the

organization acquires, analyzes, governs and manages the quality of data.

  • Identify new business opportunities available through more effective and

creative use of data.

  • Provide guidance, strategy and oversight for data-related initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce data policies and standards, including enterprise-wide business data definitions and data quality standards. Includes full data lifecycle

(includes data creation, usage, retention and deletion).

  • Measure the effectiveness of data-related projects. Develop and deliver the

benchmarking, identification of best practices, metrics and reporting on health

of the DGO programs.

  • Communicate data policies and enforcement with senior management.
  • Lead group of Data Stewards (strategic data and process governance).
  • Drive overall future state MDM application architecture, including model for

maintenance post-implementation and data retention.

  • Change management (relative to the information governance and data quality).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise wide data governance initiative

working with complex data and systems infrastructure, 3rd party data partners,

including hands-on experience managing technical data governance issues.

  • 5+ years experience in a people leadership position.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business field

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of key tools used in governing/managing data quality.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of SAP, PLM systems, JDA is an asset.
  • Experience in any or all of Customer, Product, and Vendor Data creation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing Data Quality Programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation

skills.

  • Experience in performance management metrics, inquisitive thinking and

problem solving curiosity, ability to challenge others.

  • Overall understanding of data quality tools and practices
  • Proven experience with complex data quality issues and data remediation/data

cleansing.

  • Strong knowledge of the Apparel / Retail industry
  • Strong project management leadership with proven track record of delivering

results.
