Product Strategy & Innovation Speed Manager - The Underwear Group

The Advanced Concepts Speed Manager will promote the growth of the speed business through well thought out and strategic test and fast track initiatives for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger & Core Intimates. The goal is to alleviate risk while creating relevant, beautiful and timely product. We're the ones responsible for bringing together departments from around the company to ensure that we continue to optimize and grow our speed capabilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Own the speed process - manage deadlines in partnership with supply lead.
  • Develop the speed process in partnership with key cross-functional partners in order to create a clear checklist of steps & ownership in a space that is not tied to calendars.
  • Streamline tools and designate owners to ensure all team members have visibility to accurate and timely information.
  • Create a strategic road map for speed & testing with an understanding of vendor capabilities in combination with regional merch key testing time periods.
  • Ensure cross-functional partners including the design, marketing + packaging teams are downloaded on speed initiatives and working towards deadlines.
  • Manage coordinator on day to day tasks and help to guide them in them through their development process.
  • Meet with regional march partners regularly to sell in new speed initiatives, communicate product attributes and details on tests & fast tracks.
  • Partner with consumer insights on test results to determine next steps. Communicate findings and actions to key stakeholders.
  • Attend speed kick off meetings via conference calls.
  • Attend and participate in video conferences for speed fittings.
  • Attend weekly speed cross-functional meeting and update team on status of active speed initiatives.
  • Manage coordinator in updating the speed prioritization file with new initiatives in preparation for the speed pre-approval meeting.
  • Lead monthly approval meetings. Ensure all test ideas have been properly vetted before they are brought to the approval committee.
  • Attend core replenishment selection meeting to understand the regions core strategy in order to initiate new speed tool boxes.
  • Create quarterly speed hindsight template to share with leadership.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 5 - 7 years of experience in Merchandising and/or Design

Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Merchandising or related field

  • Strong product sensibility
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
