National Sales Manager

The National Sales Manager’s main objective is to sell to the company’s major customers with the goal of increasing sales, revenue, EBIT. The Manager is also responsible for implementing short and long-term brand strategies. The incumbent establishes specific merchandising objectives, targets and goals, ensures that product lines are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner. This person also oversees visual and brand image at the retail level.


  • Creates all seasonal business plans based on trends, products and history
  • Analyzes key Account budgets and understands buyer’s market in order to build and present product lines by season and division
  • Tracks margins to ensures internal/external divisional margin objectives are achieved and meet business objectives
  • Analyzes all businesses at the close of each season compared to last year and the original business plans
  • Follows up and coordinates with key Accounts
  • Provides upper management with all necessary buy and margin information
  • Establish strong business relationships with key accounts through weekly/Monthly meetings
  • Presents new product lines to all Accounts
  • Develops season buying plans for key accounts
  • Implements specific business and marketing strategies necessary to achieve target budgets
  • Coordinate with planning to ensure fulfillment of Account orders
  • Drives sales in the retail channel with suggested promotional activity/advertising plans
  • Interacts regularly with key internal departments such as marketing, merchandizing & design, sourcing and forecasting, customer service, finance, production and planning


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or other related field


  • Strong understanding of market trends, fashion trends, consumer demands
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office,
  • Advances computers skills (excel)
  • Selling techniques applicable to intimate apparel business is an asset
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret various financial/sales reports
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment

Experience Required:

  • 5-10 years wholesale/retail sales experience
