Men's Product Development Group Casual Design Intern (Calvin Klein Jeans) - CALVIN KLEIN

Calvin Klein, our master brand includes offerings such as men's and women's sportswear, outerwear, fragrance, accessories, footwear, performance apparel, men's dress furnishings, women's dresses, suits and handbags and items for the home.

CALVIN KLEIN JEANS; With roots in denim, it is the casual expression of the CALVIN KLEIN brand and is famous for its unique details and innovative washes. Offerings under this label include men's and women's jeans and related apparel, which are distributed worldwide
Interns will have the opportunity to learn from influential and modern designers within the men's design team.
The men's design experience will expose interns to developing innovative construction techniques, fabrications and styling for presentations. Interns will be able to provide support to the Design team during all stages of the design process, including assisting with the research of design concepts, creating presentations, and assist during fittings.

What to expect?

  • Research design concepts through the use of books, magazines and online resources
  • Assemble concept & mood boards for presentations
  • Assist designers with sketches & tech packs.
  • Learn the purpose of the management of vintage inventory in sample closet
  • Help design team set up for fittings
Candidates should possess:
  • Ability to research independently and contribute to design presentations
  • Knowledge of garment construction in men's and women's
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good collaborator and team-player approach

Additional Program Information:

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program and be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • The paid internship is based out of our NY offices and is not eligible for relocation or visa sponsorship.
  • Candidates will be expected to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
  • The Summer 2018 Internship session will begin Monday, June 4 and conclude Friday, August 10.
