Department Information

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who will work in the Corporate Responsibility team at our European head-office in Amsterdam.

  • Sustainable Supply Chain –supporting in several projects which aim to gain better transparency of Tommy Hilfiger supply chain, to improve environmental requirements of production facilities (with main focus on water) and to lower the impact of denim finishing processes.
  • Supply chain data analysis related to TH water programs
  • Sustainable Materials – supporting CR senior coordinator to drive the sustainable materials programs, with an emphasis on the Better Cotton program.

Position Description

Sustainable Supply Chain Program

  • Supporting the internal project team to implement lower impact denim finishing
  • Preparation of data, charts and graphs for presentations and reporting activities for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Supply chain data analysis related to TH water programs

Sustainable Materials Programs

  • Supporting the Better Cotton program outreach in both the supply chain and within the business
  • Sustainable material data collection.
  • Data analysis
  • Administration of the Better Cotton Tracer account
  • Tracking of sustainable materials results.

Additional to the project, the intern may be required to perform other functions within the CR team. Some practical examples: (1) Assisting in the other ongoing CR projects (2) Assisting in preparation of CR events, projects and trainings (3) Organization and coordination of facility requirements

(4) Preparation of PowerPoint presentations

  • Get insight into garment and footwear supply chain

Position Requirements

  • Start Date for the internship: January/February 2018. Duration: 6 months
  • The candidate should be enrolled in a school or university for the entire period of internship
  • The candidate should be eligible to work in EU
  • Good understanding of sustainable business
  • Preferred background study: business administration, environmental science, sustainable development (or equivalent)
  • Strong in analytical and research skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English – Dutch not essential
