Human Resources Business Partner

HR Business Partner

The incumbent will be the sole HR leader in a fast pace, high energy sales environment while partnering with a remote HR team. In this role, you will partner closely with internal associates, the leaders and administer the programs which are consistent with corporate guidelines and objectives.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to employee relations, recruitment, compensation, training and development, legislative compliance, policies and procedures, organizational development.

Duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Build solid relationships with all associates in client group;
  • Act as an in-house first level HR contact for all associates and leaders;
  • Participate in the full cycle of recruitment;
  • Administer orientation of new hires and work on continuous improvement based on the feedback of new hires;
  • Participate in organizational development plans and ensuring corporate consistency;
  • Lead and partner with management for effective succession planning;
  • Identify coaching and training needs among associates and leaders and participate in creating new or improving existing training programs;
  • Assist the Director of HR in all strategic planning projects;
  • Support and coach managers on the successful completion of annual performance evaluations;
  • Keep well informed on provincial and federal legislation and advise management accordingly;
  • Keep informed on compensation trends in a competitive market.
  • Be the advisor or coach in difficult situations to guide the managers on how to solve the situation.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to create, review or update policies and procedures;

Requirements:

  • Professional with at least 5 years Human Resources experience
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources required
  • Solid leadership, human resources management, customer orientation, financial analytical, solution offering and strategic thinking are essential.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Workday System and or other Applicant Tracking Systems, an asset
  • Knowledge of retail and or wholesale environments, an asset.
  • HR Professional designation, an asset
