Home Client Manager, 205W39NYC Store - CALVIN KLEIN

The Home Client Manager supports the achievement of sales goals by creating an exceptional customer experience. Responsible for coaching and developing sales professionals in luxury selling & service strategies and business development techniques through ongoing feedback and touch bases. Participate in the seasonal open to buys and develop delivery coordination of clientelling training programs. Manage and drive the Trade program through knowledge of community and industry contacts.


Business Development

  • Drive sales to maximize Calvin Klein Home businesses.
  • Focus on meeting established sales goals.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador in all interactions with internal and external clients relaying the NEW vision of Home.
  • Ensure a consistent, exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to communicate what is special and different about Calvin Klein Home, through strong product knowledge and awareness of current trends
  • Continually develop the total client base (i.e. private and trade clients, client book) and process (i.e. e-mails, mailings, etc.).
  • Manage and drive the Trade program through knowledge of the community and industry contacts.
  • Attend Trade-specific events and seminars prospecting potential NEW clients and strengthening relationships.
  • Work with the buying office, participating in the open to buy process to ensure the private and trade client perspective is considered.
  • Communicate Trends and new products to clients.
  • Communicate quality issues, fast and slow selling items.
  • Support the management team by communicating opportunities, challenges, and providing solutions and strategies to consistently enhance the customer experience.

Client Relationship
  • Maintain all confidential information for all clients.
  • Find "special" merchandise for VIP clients.
  • Oversee all aspects of the transactions including special orders, invoicing, estimates, etc.

Training & Development
  • Develop and deliver ongoing Luxury Service and Selling Training programs and processes in partnership with the Department Manager and Store Management.
  • Be a resource to sales teams providing coaching regarding relationship building, clientele building and business development in partnership with the Department manager.
  • Partner with Home Buying team and the Department Manager to schedule routine product training for the staff.

  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of floor presentation.
  • Support management on the movement of merchandise between receiving and floor.
  • Organize and maintain merchandise within stock areas.
  • Ensure all merchandise is ticketed and censored properly.
  • Ensure fulfillment of all customer orders.


  • Five plus years in luxury Home retail/wholesale experience or similar
  • Deep connections to the trade, interior design and architectural communites
  • Retail sales and clientele experience is necessary
  • Proven record of large volume sales performance

  • College degree required


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to deadline demands as well as handling various tasks
  • Must be well-groomed
  • Must have leadership skills
  • Must be able to read and comprehend sales reports
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

  • Expertise in product knowledge
  • Ability to train Associates and Department Managers in product knowledge, new trends, best-selling items, etc.
  • Familiarity with Competitive marketplace, consumer trends, etc.
