Cash Applicator

The Cash Applicator will process all A/R Financial Documents and balance all North America A/R Cash flow in order to maintain up to date customer accounts, making accurate GL and Cross Company postings that effects all areas of the business in a real time reactive platform – SAP.


  • Daily application of payment to customer accounts, accurately paying open invoices and setting up deduction and/or on account cash items
  • Daily verification of Domestic and Canadian Bank transmissions and transactions
  • Daily verification of Order Processing IDOC interface
  • Daily completion of Document Clearing/journal entries as per written requests
  • Daily completion of open item transfers as per written requests
  • Daily completion of Domestic and Canadian Credit Card Payment Processing
  • Daily creation of Manual Cash for Domestic and Canadian Bank Accounts
  • Daily creation of Payment Advices
  • Daily MICR maintenance
  • Daily scanning of live checks received on site to Domestic lockbox
  • Daily creation of live check package to Canadian lockboxes
  • Daily log update of lockbox imaged check pages for weekly download audit
  • Daily completion of baseline date changes as per written request
  • Daily log update and distribution of advance electronic remittance files (EDI820 reports)
  • Daily imaging of documents into the Imaging System
  • Daily audit of data and reports of the Imaging System
  • Daily support to the staff in Credit & Collections, Deductions, Treasury and Divisional Accounting
  • Bi-weekly unidentified deductions reporting
  • Daily and weekly audit activities to support lockbox archival
  • Researching and resolution of any discrepancies in inter-company or cross company application
  • Constant attention to month end requirements and deadlines



  • 1 to 3 years related experience


  • Associate’s degree preferred


  • Strong Excel skills required including macros and v-look ups
  • Ability to work in multiple systems and applications simultaneously
  • Ability to work with others with a professional and cooperative attitude
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time to complete a variety of tasks
  • Analytical self-starter with an aptitude for details
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to accuracy
