What You Will Be Doing

FlashBlade (FB) was designed from the ground up for next generation workloads such as Analytics. Our mission is to make FB the obvious choice due to its proven scalable performance, capacity, density and simplicity.

As a FB Technical Evangelist, you will promote Pure in the analytics community and identify promising new opportunities, applications, and workflows. Consult and advise customers on architecting, managing, and scaling analytics systems as well as Help in competitive analysis, designing POC’s, and benchmarking

You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to Analytics and Big data. You must be familiar with the ecosystem of software vendors in the space, and will leverage this knowledge to help us decide where we should invest from a partnership and product perspective.

This position can be based in any major US city.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Deep experience with Analytics, knowledge of Hadoop, ELK, Spark, HDFS, Splunk, Apache Storm, Docker etc.
  • Experience designing the architecture of analytics pipelines and working experience on managing and maintaining these systems.
  • Extensive industry contacts in the Analytics and software development field and the ability to work cooperatively with, software developers and key decision makers
  • Outstanding content creation, public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics
    MS/PHD in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Proven experience on developing analytic models
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure with special emphasis in areas of Compute, Analytics Services, Big Data and distributed computing
  • Extensive experience in the cloud based solutions
  • Proficient in Python/Java/Scala/R/SQL
