The Team:

Lead the Pure Storage Hardware Engineering Team and help develop and maintain state-of-the-art flash storage systems.  As a Hardware Engineering Manager you will; lead hardware design & architecture, validation, and qualification. You will manage the hardware lab and all hardware testing ensure correct operation and performance of our systems You'll also foster an innovative & collaborative team approach which is rooted in Pure's unique engineering culture. 

What you will be doing:

  • Lead a electronics hardware design team.
  • Direct the team to follow good design practices and ensure product quality.
  • Experience with x86 processor architecture, digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, USB etc. 
  • Lead and drive product development: specification, schematic capture, PCB layout and design validation test.
  • Manage hardware lab.
  • Research root cause and solution of the quality issues.
  • Experience partnering with software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers and algorithms.
  • Lead and foster a culture of high-quality designs, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Lead and mentor engineering staff.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Past experience managing projects and personnel.
  • Familiar with good hardware design processes and practices
  • Good hardware debug skills and knowledge of lab instruments.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing process, including DFM and DFA.
