Systems Analyst I

Position Summary:

Assists in the analysis, design, programming, testing, and documentation as required to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Company's systems/applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the Project Office Managers for delivery on commitments within project task assignments
  • Provide system level support for computer systems/business applications with minor to moderate scope and complexity
  • Record, track, communicate, and document resolutions of client issues by means of a defect reporting database software
  • Participate in the analysis of client project proposals; identifies potential problem areas, and recommends optimum approaches for project path, utilizing specific area of technical expertise
  • Develop technical documentation for training, software/hardware use, user procedures, and project deliverables
  • Follow best practices, methods, standards, and processes
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and other cross-functional teams
  • Define and validate project deliverables
  • Responsible for gathering business requirements, design, testing, implementing, and documentation of technical solutions according to approved standards/procedure.
  • Under guidance, write and execute system application analysis, design, and testing specifications according to approved standards/procedures
  • Provide on-call support and problem resolution for computer applications
  • Use fact-finding procedures, knowledge of pertinent processes and procedures, and familiarity with related programming practices, software, and hardware to provide required analysis of business requirements
  • Contribute through systems analysis and design to the development of tools and business solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years' experience
  • Experience with UNIX, PC/LAN, Web, and Client/Server environments is desirable
  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases and Stored Procedures is desirable
  • Education on formal software development methodologies is desirable
  • Certification in Software Development Methodology is preferred
  • Knowledge of computer systems and data analysis
  • Accounting knowledge or experience preferred
  • Financial application experience preferred
  • Basic database query skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Pulte Homes' business applications and processes
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret business client requirements, and to design appropriate systems and/or application solutions
  • Specialized knowledge within area of responsibility
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge
  • Ability to gain credibility with customers and team members
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload in a complex, demanding, and rapidly changing environment
