Description:

The Pulte Financial Services (PFS) Information Systems Department is seeking a Scrum Master and Solutions Architect for one of our Agile Software Development Teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, the ability to understand complex business and functional requirements, coordinate and implement testable features, support roll out to the business, and provide production support.

Along with the role of the Scrum Master, this position also fills the function of a Solutions Architect. Solutions Architects serve as hands-on technology leaders with expertise in custom development of web applications and enterprise services built on a .NET platform. Solutions Architects play a critical role in enabling Pulte Financial Services to build the strategic technology initiatives such as Customer Digital Experience on the web and mobile, point-of-sale solutions, etc. Job responsibilities include ensuring other developers on the team are adhering to technical and functional architecural standards, collaborating with other Architects, Product Owners, Product Managers, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure the strategic vision of the team's systems is realized.

Members of the Information Systems Department are part of a team that creates software starting from the earliest project phases and sees it through to implementation and support. Our software inventory includes internal custom web applications; a service oriented architecture, highly customized and integrated off-the-shelf platforms, a customer-facing web site, and a large BPM system. This inventory was built, and continues to grow, due to our CEO's continued dedication to differentiate our company from its competitors through investment in technology. Background and Experience Required:

  • 5 years of professional experience acting as the Scrum Master of a team in an environment of multiple teams
  • 10 years of professional software development experience building and testing Web Services, Windows Services and shared .NET C# class libraries.
  • Firm grasp of object oriented principles (OOP) and can skillfully apply those concepts into daily work
  • Ensuring the team is following the department's Agile SDLC processes
  • Identifying and removing impediments for the team
  • Participate in strategic cross-project planning and release planning activities
  • Ability to assess and communicate progress and issues related to own team
  • Coordinate and participate in the development of logical and detailed design deliverables (e.g.: storyboards, activity/state diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.) for application components based on enterprise conceptual designs.
  • Functional, working knowledge of SOLID principles and GoF design patterns
  • Ability to assess and communicate progress and issues related to own team
  • Coordinate effectively with other Scrum Masters
  • Coordintate with other Solution Architects
  • Mentor and assist developers in the implementation of detailed designs and patterns
  • Work with enterprise architects (functional architect, technical architect, solutions architects) throughout the development lifecycle
  • Ensure implementation of technical requirements
  • Participate in the building and testing of own team's applications
  • Troubleshoot and support user acceptance testing and roll-out efforts
  • Ability to manage and provide production support during business hours as well as on-call hours
  • Enthusiastic, high-energy, and team-player personality
  • High-productivity development track record
  • Mortgage industry experience would be a plus

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Minimum High School Diploma

Required Skills

  • Facilitating Meetings: Proficient: 5 years facilitating the daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective.
  • .Agile Estimation and Planning: Proficient: 5 years tracking a team's velocity and creating an estimated backlog of user stories
  • Forecasting: Proficient: 5 years forecasting the number of story points possible in an iteration/sprint, based on a team's past experience
  • Coaching: Proficient: 5 years helping teams use Agile methods to achieve higher and higher velocities
  • C# .NET Application Development - Proficient: 5-10 years experience
  • .NET Framework - Proficient: 5-10 years experience.
  • SQL & SQL Server: Proficient: 5-10 years experience creating and maintaining database schemas and stored procedures
  • Web Services (ASMX / WCF): Proficient: 5 years experience ASMX or WCF Web Services.
  • Web development (HTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC): Proficient: 5 years experience with creating (not just maintenance of) public (Internet) web sites and applications as well as rich interactive internal web applications.
  • XML (DTD XML Schema XSLT): Proficient: 5 years experience creating DTDs, XML Schemas, parsing and creating complex XML documents, creating and applying XSLT transformations.
  • Queuing (MSMQ): Intermediate: 3-5 years experience with writing / reading messages to/from message queues
  • C#-based Windows Services: Intermediate: 3-5 years experience implementing Windows Services
  • Business Process Management Architecture: Exposure: 1-3 years experience implementing business process management (BPM) applications on top of a product like IBM Business Process Manager or equivalent.
  • Object-Oriented Analysis and Design: Intermediate: 3-5 years experience documenting analysis and design using OOA/OOD models (e.g. class diagrams, etc.
  • Web (Look & Feel) Design: Experience collaborating with business analysts and graphical designers to design and implement a site's look and feel.
  • UML: Intermediate: Ability to create UML models, e.g.: use case diagrams, use cases, class diagrams, and sequence or collaboration diagrams.
  • Enterprise Design Patterns: Experience applying enterprise patterns (layered architecture, Microsoft enterprise patterns)
