JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibility for performing sales and production functions related to meeting the financing needs of loan applicants through consideration of all available product options within prescribed performance standards.
  • Salary plus Monthly Incentives offered
  • All business generated from Home Builder
    • No leads to call (No Cold Calls)
    • Focus on retaining the business NOT generating the business
  • In-House Processing & Underwriting

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (FOR EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS) :
  • Executes against published Pulte process model with regard to communication standards, cycle times, partnering with Pulte Homes and other departments.
    Assists customers in the selection of various loan products and securing loan approval.
  • Review and discuss outside lender's loan estimates (LE) to ensure business retention with customers.
  • Responds to all customer inquiries to ensure extraordinary customer service.
  • Reviews files for compliance and quality.
  • Will stay updated on new products as well as product changes.
  • Will review good faith estimate matrix to ensure fees are disclosed correctly.
  • Runs fee calculations for state, product and community specifics
  • Will be required to achieve daily metrics on incoming call answer rate and upfront collection of fees.

What is the Mortgage Banking Training Program?

Our Loan Originator Training program is a full-time, paid, unique and specialized training and development program to prepare candidates for a rewarding career in the mortgage industry. The training will provide you with a greater understanding of the overall residential mortgage loan process, which will lead to a full-time, Loan Consultant position.

What you'll be doing:
  • A combination of classroom, mentoring, job shadowing and on the job training.
  • Learn about the mortgage application process and various loan products.
  • Our unique Training Bay program provides employees with knowledgeable and dedicated support.
  • Hands on and instructor-guided mortgage systems and applications training.
  • Acquire knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations

What you'll bring:
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work with multiple computer systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS:
  • Two years of sales or customer service experience
  • Able to work in fast-paced sales environment
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must secure and maintain national and state licensing up to 8 states.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINEE PROGRAM APPLICANTS:
  • Previous experience in the financial and/or mortgage industries
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a professional environment. Prefer experience in a corporate office setting or other applicable experience such as an internship or a community/school leadership position.
  • Prior Sales or Business Development experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills a plus
  • Position requires the ability to secure and maintain licensing
  • A $1500 sign on bonus may be offered for candidates who acquire a SAFE license prior to their start date.

Salary Range: starting pay of $20.44 hourly. This position will also be eligible for monthly bonuses upon on the successful completion of the required training/licensing and based on defined performance objectives.

Candidates are hired into a LC Trainee role until they successfully complete the training curriculum and pass all required exams and/or secure licensing (if applicable). Upon successful completion of the requirements, the employee will move into a Loan Consultant role.
