We are looking for a hands-on technology leader with expertise in custom development and integration of web/mobile solutions and enterprise services built on a .NET platform to provide technical leadership for designing, developing and implementing optimal online experiences for our Customers. This leader will play a critical role in Pulte Financial Services (PFS) new Digital Customer Experience agile software development team that has the responsibility to rapidly design, develop and deliver Digital solutions to improve our Customer's experience throughout the home financing lifecycle.

The DCX Solution Architect provides an important link between Pulte Financial Services Enterprise Architecture and the Digital Customer Experience agile team's solution design. They will focus on designing, developing and delivering solutions that are enterprise quality, durable, performant, extensible, maintainable, scalable, operable, and reliable. They work to maximize component reuse and ensure we utilize consistent tools, patterns, and approaches across all of our solutions. The DCX Solution Architect will serve as a virtual extension of the PFS's Enterprise Architecture Team while serving full time on the Digital agile delivery team.


  • Work on the Digital agile team as well as the PFS Architecture team for the particular solution and act as a liaison between the Enterprise Architecture team and the Digital Agile team
  • Participate in establishing and documenting Digital architecture standards with other Architects
  • Provide technical leadership to the design, development, implementation and testing of digital solutions, often custom developed and integrating new technologies
  • Understand technological systems and strategic vision in order to produce integrated end-to-end Digital solution options
  • Keep the Enterprise Architecture team up-to-date on the nature of solutions being developed in the Digital agile team
  • Educate and ensure developers on the Digital agile team understand and follow technical and functional architectural standards. Mentor and assist developers in the implementation of detailed designs and patterns
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects (Chief Technical, Functional, Security) on the development of application and component conceptual designs, including authoring and presenting relevant sections
  • Collaborate with other Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Product Managers, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure the strategic vision of the Digital agile team's systems is realized
  • Provide clear and concise articulation, presentation, and documentation of technical opportunities, constraints recommendations, and action items
  • Participate in cross-project planning and release planning activities
  • Provide leadership on user story sequencing that maximizes user story throughput and team productivity
  • Coordinate with other Solution Architects on cross-team feature and user story dependencies
  • Participate in Digital team's building and testing of the team's applications within the sprints
  • Coordinate and participate in the development of logical and detailed design deliverables (e.g. storyboards, activity/state diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.) for each application component based on enterprise conceptual designs
  • Keep up-to-date on cutting edge technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team to assess digital market technology choices to determine fit, including software
  • Troubleshoot and support user acceptance testing, rollout efforts and the team's systems in each environment
  • Provide production support during business hours as well as on-call hours

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Strong and broad knowledge of architectures, systems, and solution designs across a range of Digital solutions and Digital environment (mobile, web, omni-channel solutions, social media technologies, other new emerging technologies)
  • Experience applying enterprise patterns (layered architecture, Microsoft enterprise patterns) and documenting analysis and design using OOA/OOD models
  • 5 years' experience with creating (not just maintenance of) public (Internet) web sites and applications as well as rich interactive internal web applications (HTML, HTML5, Javascript, Jquery, CSS, AJAX, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC)
  • 3 years of Agile delivery experience
  • 5 years' experience with creating .ASMX or WCF Web services
  • 5 years' experience C# .NET Application Development and 5 years' experience implementing C# based Windows Services and using all major core classes of the .NET framework
  • 5 years' experience creating and maintaining database schemas and stored procedures, creating DTDs, XML Schemas, parsing and creating complex XML documents, creating and applying XSLT transformations
  • 5 years' experience with writing/reading messages to/from message queues
  • Firm grasp of object oriented principles (OOP) and can skillfully apply those concepts into daily work
  • Functional, working knowledge of SOLID principles and GoF design patterns
  • Enthusiastic, high-energy, customer oriented, and team-player personality. Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • High-productivity development track record in Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to design and convey the solution, provide technical direction to the Digital Customer Experience team and client stakeholders
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
