VP Operations - Entry Level Segment

Job Description
Primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership over the creation and deployment of a for-sale housing business model targeting affordability-constrained buyers across all life stages. Assess competitor strengths and weaknesses, then work with Department and Field leadership to design, develop and implement a national go-to-market strategy, ensuring sales volume, market share, and profit targets are met.


Set overall direction and short- and long-term strategic goals for the line of business.
Develop the go-to-market strategy for this buyer segment, including land acquisition and development standards, consumer marketing, sales processes, financing support, product design, procurement, construction and service, and the underlying financials to expand Pulte's reach further into the affordable buyer segment.
Oversee deployment of the business model into the field organization and ensure successful implementation.
Seek opportunities to maximize brand exposure and sales. Advocate and champion the brand. Work closely with field management to monitor performance and adjust accordingly.
Monitor and track the effectiveness of the go-to-market strategy across the enterprise
Establish brand standards and monitor application of those standards within the divisions
Evaluate and have a point of view on specific market opportunity for expansion of the affordable strategy

REQUIRED EDUCATION (degree, licenses, certifications, etc.)
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.):
Minimum of 10+ years broad general management and/or sales leadership experience
Experience with entry level home buyer segment preferred.
A proven track record of achievement and sustained business results.
Ability to translate ideas into clear, discrete action plans
Experience in leading through significant change
Strong business acumen, and an ability to align needs of the segment and deployment challenges against the real needs of the business
Demonstrated experience leading broadly across a distributed organization
Ability to work with, and across, departments without direct reporting relationships to achieve optimal results
Proven experience in working directly and effectively with Field and Corporate Leadership teams.
Curious, critical thinker. Ability to continually identify and evaluate new ideas and assess whether/how they fit into the ongoing vision.
High degree of personal confidence and integrity. A reputation for standing firm in the face of pressures.
