Sr. Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer sought by PulsePoint, Inc., a new digital media technology company committed to helping marketers and publishers gain greater audience transparency and deeper engagement across digital channels at unprecedented scale, to develop and add new functionality to existing Ad Exchange software stack. Update existing functionality to address shortcomings and improve performance. Consult with product owners to clarify software objectives. Assist in support issues from a development perspective and correct any immediate bugs. Research new development approaches and frameworks for potential integration with our ad stack. Work with other development teams on cross-department software projects.

 

Position located in New York, NY.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or closely related field and five years of work experience in the job offered or related field of software development, or advertising, marketing, and internet technologies; or, in the alternative, a Master’s degree or equivalent and four years of work experience.

 

If qualifying by a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, must have at least five years Java development experience; and at least three years experience with internet technologies, internet communications, application performance and capacity optimization, and high throughput and low latency software applications.

 

If qualifying by Master’s degree or equivalent, must have at least four years Java development experience; and at least two years experience with internet technologies, internet communications, application performance and capacity optimization, and high throughput and low latency software applications.
