What you will do

The Account Management Associate will be supporting Institutional Client Advisory team and will be responsible for assisting with the identification and cultivation of North America based institutional prospects and clients, preparing business presentations, coordinating internal resources/partners, as well as more generally assisting with the closing of institutional sales.

What you can expect

  • Participate as key member of a dedicated institutional client advisory team focused on direct relationship building and asset gathering within the largest 1,000+ institutional asset allocators in North America.
  • Develop asset class fluency and solid understanding of PGIM Fixed Income ("PGIMFI") strategies (both traditional fixed income and alternative strategies), processes, resources, and capabilities.
  • Support client advisors with ongoing sales and sales-related communication with clients and prospects.
  • Interface with key business partners/stakeholders across PGIMFI to organize meetings and coordinate presentation materials.
  • Prepare materials providing background on institutional prospects including bios, plan details (research 10Ks, MMD, websites, other market intelligence databases, etc.), longer term liability, EROA, and/or other goals/objectives, company /market challenges, existing managers and strategies, etc., to help best identify opportunities and position PGIMFI for future growth.
  • Develop understanding of the distinct sponsor channels (corporate, PERS, Taft-Hartley, E&F, insurance, sub-advisory, Fund of Hedge Funds, etc.) active in the institutional fixed income and/or alternatives space, and how PGIMFI capabilities and strategies map within the various channels.
  • Attend occasional industry association meetings and related conferences with, and as directed by, the client advisory group.
  • Write and publish client meeting notes and post to SalesForce CRM system as appropriate.
  • Assist with all meeting/call/conference follow ups, including entering appropriate requests in SalesForce.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports/plans to support new sales initiatives.

What you will bring

  • BA/BS degree (MBA/CFA candidate a plus)
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of investment industry or investment sales experience
  • Familiarity with fixed income securities and markets
  • Effective team player; able to work with people of all levels.
  • High level of self-initiative, with strong integrity and ethics
  • Experienced user of SalesForce CRM, Blackrock Aladdin, and Tableau systems preferred
  • Holds or is willing to obtain Series 7, Series 63, and Series 3 licenses
  • Organized, detail oriented, with strong time management and active listening skills
  • Reliable self-starter with ability to problem solve on their own

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $70,000 to $80,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary annual cash bonus opportunity along with long term incentive awards. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
