Plan Implementation Manager (Scranton PA, Dubuque IA, Hartford CT, or Virtual)

This position is responsible for leading the successful on-boarding of new defined contribution, defined benefit, and non-qualified deferred compensation retirement plans. This role serves as the point person/project manager for internal resources as well as clients and intermediaries. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, establishing and managing to a timeline for each assigned activity, independently handling complex tasks, handing over a plan to the ongoing Client Service team that is accurate and operationally efficient, and assist in the sales process by attending onsite finals presentations. In addition to new business on-boarding, the Implementation Manager plays an integral role with existing clients during merger & acquisition activity and the addition of new product and service offerings.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring Client, intermediary, and internal partner satisfaction
  • Maintain Client reference-ability
  • Meeting committed time frames
  • Maintain and influence further selection of products and services adopted in the sales process
  • Influence the receipt of data required to deliver products and services selected
  • Minimization of errors/losses to Prudential
  • Establishing a timeline for each project and managing the execution of deliverables for both internal and external partners.
  • Leads the internal team through the on-boarding or service enhancement process
  • Facilitates key initial meetings with the client, weekly internal/external status calls, maintenance of outstanding issues lists
  • Utilizes internal checklists to complete tasks associated with the on-boarding process
  • Facilitates the transfer of plan assets to Prudential and ensures proper investment
  • Works independent and/or with Data Manager to ensure data required to deliver elected services are confirmed with the client and tested by internal resources
  • Responsible for a smooth plan hand-off to Client Service and Operations teams that is accurate and operationally efficient
  • Independently represents Client Transition in prospective client visits, on-site implementation meetings, and existing client meetings clearly articulating our data story, technical capabilities, and provides an overview of the implementation process

Qualifications:
  • 5 years Retirement Industry and/or Financial Services experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a project team and provide guidance and leadership to help achieve team goals
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated abilities in motivating others, building positive team climate, fostering change, and negotiating internal/external conflict
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to create strategies that result in optimal outcomes
  • Demonstrates initiative and is results oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Prudential Retirement product offerings and recordkeeping systems is a plus
  • FINRA: Series 6 licensing is required within 90 days
  • Some travel is required
