About the position
We are looking for an Investment Associate on the Washington DC Loan Originations Team to assist their Loan Officer in all aspects of the loan origination process, including creating presentations for pricing and loan authorization, exposure to debt structuring, pricing strategy, and transaction negotiation. The Senior Associate will gain exposure to the origination process and will be responsible for assisting analysts with closing and due diligence review. As the Senior Associate becomes more familiar with PGIM RE's people, processes, and procedures, they will be given increasing responsibility for deals, from origination through close. The position allows the Associate to interact with existing and prospective borrowers, intermediaries, industry peers, and the legal community. Internally, they will gain exposure to key decision makers within PGIM RE and assist with the training and development of a team of Investment Analysts.

The ideal candidate
We are seeking a highly-motivated candidate with aspiration to grow and develop their career with PGIM RE as a Loan Officer. Prior experience in commercial real estate finance or acquisitions is required. This is a transactions-based role and candidates must possess both strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills. The PGIM REF team treats our talent like an investment. The successful candidate will play an important and integral role on the team.

What will my role at PGIM look like?
The Investment Associate will join a fully-integrated mortgage origination team responsible for $700 million to a $1 billion of annual production. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers in sourcing and originating commercial real estate debt investments for Prudential's wide variety of capital sources including general account, separate accounts, bridge fund, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial real estate lending or acquisitions

MBA from a top program and/or additional lending and acquisitions experience

Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Outstanding written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team

Proficiency in MS Office applications, (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required
