PGIM Real Estate, the global real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc., is seeking a Director reporting to the Global Chief Real Estate Appraiser. The position will ideally be located in PGIM Real Estate's Madison, NJ office, although the company maintains offices in multiple other US cities and would be considered for the right candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists the Global Chief Real Estate Appraiser on investment grade real estate valuation issues including oversight responsibility of an outsourced valuation management firm.
Responsible for reviewing and validating analyses on debt & equity investments that establish market values and property ratings for fair value reporting for assets and liabilities for investments managed by PGIM Real Estate.
Acts as a liaison between parties to resolve complex valuation issues for domestic & international real estate funds.
Applies judgment utilizing real estate industry best practices and established policies and guidelines.
Prepares varying levels of portfolio analyses for reasonableness tests.
Performs other ad hoc analysis to support financial reporting and management decision making.
Leads discussions with internal and external auditors and responds to audit questions.
Trains asset managers (and vendors) on valuation techniques, process and procedures
Travel required up to 25%
Bachelor's degree in real estate valuation or related program such as Accounting or Finance
Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and MAI (preferred)
5 years real estate valuation national experience; debt underwriting experience a plus
Full working knowledge of Argus cash flow programs and a complete and thorough understanding of all real estate valuation concepts and techniques.
Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Attention to detail, yet able to summarize and communicate complex issues effectively
Able to achieve results through influence without direct reporting lines or control of resources
Able to communicate and partner effectively with both senior management and real estate appraisers/consultants
Ability to manage several simultaneous projects and work
